Nervous

My blood draw to re- test for lupus anticoagulant is this Thursday. I feel sick from nerves and fear. I started a new job but there are still too many empty hours for my mind to wander. I'm alone tonight and tomorrow night due to my husband's work hours/meetings. My pre-pe self would have camped out in front of the ps4 with a glass or two of wine... Now I'm like a needy weirdo who can't find their way. I'm scared to get engrossed in something so sedentary that I will sit for too long. I'm scared of it all. I used to be the one people came to for rational advice. Definitely not that person at the moment.  I'm still in counseling, praying, pushing myself to do whatever I can, but it's not falling into place yet. I'm hoping time will fix that.
An uncle I was not close with (late father's brother) just passed away from a massive heart attack. Very sad about it... I don't know much of my father's side health history, aside from multiple heart problems. It makes me wonder about what happened with me, the blood thinner issue, etc... I'm really down.

Hi ce,
I\'ve been wondering how you are doing. I\'m glad to hear you found a new job so quickly that\'s good news! Worrying won\'t change the results of the test but I do understand your concerns. The good thing is you are on a blood thinner now, and so far your treatment is going ok recovery wise based on what you have posted. Please try not to get too wound up because you might not get the results right away anyway. Take care.

You are doing good things right now for yourself, with finding another job and continuing your counseling. That takes more strength and resilience than you give yourself credit for. So just keep plugging away. The lab work is nothing more than a test. Don\'t give it any more power than that. Take one little thing at a time.

That\'s great that you found a new job! Really good news on that front.

Don\'t let the test results freak you out too much. If you have something, that\'s knowledge you can use to keep yourself healthy and avoid future problems. If you don\'t have something, that\'s good news too. Knowledge is power, either way!

Why don\'t you set a timer for an hour and then sit down in front of the ps4? When the timer goes off, get up and walk around. Then set it for another hour and get back to it. Your old self is still in there, you just have to find ways to let her back out.

Hang in there!

Thanks toss, maybe I could try that... I\'m just trying to hang onto having faith that I don\'t have that blood disorder.
