Nervous
Tomorrow morning I have my stress test. I'm scared. I haven't pushed myself physically since the PE. I've been walking and doing the stationary bike but I don't let my heart rate get above 130. I'm scared of what will happen when they make me walk fast and raise the incline on the treadmill. What if I pass out or worse yet have a heart attack? I'm also scared of what the results will reveal about how my heart is functioning now. It's good to know so they can treat an issue if there is one but I'm very concerned about tomorrow. I used to be confident in my body and would try to get my heart rate up into the 140s when working out now I just feel like my body can't cope doing that.

I\'ll be thinking of you, and said a prayer. I understand, I was worried I re-clotted the other day which thankfully wasn\'t the case. And yes, at least if you felt unwell you will be in a medical setting where they can help you just let them know if something feels amiss. Let me know how it goes.
Thanks ce I appreciate it. I read your post I\'m glad you didn\'t clot again. I\'ve also had a few trips to the ER with the fear that I had another clot. They said it was sciatica and it got better as I moved more during the day.
Honestly there\'s nothing to be afraid of on the stress test. You\'re hooked up to monitors and there\'s someone there paying attention if something should be wrong. You\'re not going to have a heart attack by walking a little bit. And I\'m pretty sure they didn\'t incline, at least they didn\'t with me, and I can\'t imagine they\'d have old people, who are generally the ones in there getting these tests, be walking on an incline. It\'s not as if they\'re going to have you up there for hours walking and monitoring. I think mine took less than ten minutes for the walking part of the test, including the time it took them to hook me up with all the electrodes. I had a nuclear stress test which meant there was a second part to the testing, and I had to eat and then have additional imagining done. To be honest, the hardest part of the test for me was eating everything they wanted me to eat. The test itself is not a big deal, and knowing the results should be a big help to you, so it\'s all a means to an end of helping you to be more confident in recovery and either know you can move forward because nothing more is wrong, or you can deal with it should something unusual show up. Either way, it\'s a good thing. I can understand stress and nerves regarding the results, but there\'s just no reason to be worried about the test itself. I hope everything will come out well for you.
Thank you ShilosMommy I\'m glad you posted this response. That makes me feel better.
