Really
So after having a somewhat decent day yesterday today sucked. I went to my POTS therapy and while I was on the exercise bike my heart rate went from 115 to 60 and I felt so weird and like I was going to faint. It was awful. Rita told me that was normal for a POTS patient and it was because she was pushing me to go faster and longer. Well guess what if that happens again I'm telling Dr.Bulow I'm done with therapy. I can do my bike at home. She said people have passed out on her before. I don't want that to be me. I don't care if it is normal. She had me cough and laugh to get my heart rate back up. That hasn't happened in awhile. I don't think that's really a good thing. For me I will probably live in fear until it NEVER happens again.
I called Dr.Bulow's office when I got home and moved my appt up a few weeks. I want to try meds I think at this point. He said last time I saw him there were several we can try. That is not normal what happened to me. I don't understand how that's just my autonomic nerves misfiring. Wtf. I really feel like there's something else causing my heart to do that. I've had so many tests done though. I really don't want to go back to the Cleveland Clinic though. I wish Dr.Grubb in Toledo was taking new patients.
I will just have to somehow deal with my fear of meds. I see my t doc this week so I plan on discussing it with her. I'm not sure Mom agrees with the meds decision but I know she'll support me no matter what I decide. I prob won't sleep much tonight. I usually don't the days I have episodes. I need to find something meaningless on tv to watch for an hour or 2. Or maybe I'll play some cards online. I really felt somewhat ok yesterday for awhile. I even managed to go to the grocery and not feel like shit the whole time walking around. My t doc will tell me to focus on the positives but it's becoming harder and harder.

You almost fainted??? And that\'s NORMAL? I agree - let\'s not do that again. I\'m sorry you\'re feeling so awful. Meds will help, I suppose, and will hopefully help you sleep as well. I\'m getting used to waking at 4:45am after who knows how many hours of sleep. But sleep is important!!! First and foremost (along with food, hydration & sex - did I say that??). I hope your session with your Tdoc goes well and that she does indeed help you see through the fog. Please be good to you, Reds! Until next time...Sending hugs your way!
Oh dear Reds...fainting? I don\'t know enough about pots to understand your pt. but that sounds scary not to mention plain awful.
Oh reds, I\'m sending good thoughts your way. (((hugs))))
