I made it thru another weekend. This month has been so hard for me to get thru. First there was Mother's Day. The first one without BJ. Friday was 9 months to the day since BJ passed away. That day I just kept myself so busy that I didn't have time to think. It was either that or spend the day crying in the corner. I got a lot done on Friday. Sunday was hard because in Pittsburg there was a ceremony for donors. BJ was an organ donor. He decided to do that with no help or input from me. He always wanted to help someone. I couldn't make it to the ceremony but it sounded like it was going to be very nice. They put together a presentation with all the people photos who had passed. They also engrave the names on a leaf on the tree engraved on the wall. They let balloons go too. I wish I could have been there. The next hard day will be this coming Sunday. It's BJ's birthday. He would have been 26. I looked at the calendar and realized for 3 Sundays in a row there was something to remind me of my boy not being here. I've made it this far and I'll just keep plugging along to get thru the rest of this month. I take everything one day at a time. Thats the only way I can deal with it. That and knowing that BJ isn't really gone. He is in my heart all the time. I know he is looking out for me just the way I always looked out for him.

I have similar feelings as you...mothers day, grief conference this past weekend, memorial day & then his birthday in June--Daren would have been 20...A hard few weeks indeed. You are like me in the fact that I also just keep plugging along--one foot in front of the other...trying to stay busy with work, yard, house and my other adult children, this is our way--everyones way--forward movement without thought...just trying to find out our new-normal...our new defination of ourselves. And you are so right they are in our hearts always and sharing our lives in a different way.
Take care...LOVE NEVER DIES...

I am sorry you could not go to the donor ceremony...I am sure it was beautiful. I went to a ceremony honoring Washington Workers that had lost their lives on the job in 2006...it was very moving. It did give a little more closure in my situation, but ads you know nothing will replace or comfort completely the loss of our children.
