Oh yea!!
Finally, a major move on the scales this morning!!
I started with much better eating habits on Monday, following the advise of the medical weight loss people. They wanted to see me in two weeks and expected me to drop upwards of 14 pounds in those two weeks. I thought that was an insane number and not possible. However, I agreed to the plan but decided to wait 4 weeks to go back to re-evaluation. After a couple days of tracking things carefully and sticking to the plan, I got on the scales this morning to see if much progress had been made. A drop of one or two pounds would have been excellent news. But, what I saw this morning was far beyond what I had hoped for. I was so motivated for my workout after seeing that number.
The number? How about 5 pounds since Monday!! Down from 341 to 336!!
Is it fat or water? Who cares!! It's 5 pounds gone and that's all that matters. Look at it from this point of view. A one-pound reduction in weight is equal to 4 pounds of stress of the knee joints. I lost 5 pounds, so that is a significant weight reduction on my knee, hips, and ankles.
Next weigh-in is Friday, but I'm thinking I might have to weigh daily because the lighter I get, the less calories I need.
