Hello! Today I went with my parents to see Grama. She is no longer in traction but is still confined to bed.The nurse said they would be getting her up later today. She can put as much weight on her leg as she can tolerate. My mom asked her if she was in pain and she said no.Her dr prescribed pain meds as needed. One nurse said Grama just has to ring the bell & tell them she needs something for pain.Ummm excuse me but do you really think she can do that?? She has dementia! Grama has a doll that she thinks is real.It is a godsend! Before Demi she would pack & repack her things and pace around. Now shes a lot calmer.I always tell her I am going to take Demi home & shes lol. She`ll say I can hold her but not take her.I think she knows I`m picking on her.I`m honored because only my cousin & I can hold her.*S* When we left Grama held my hand & said you can come back. My aunt & cousin are going to see her tomorrow while my mom and I have a baby shower.I offered to stay with her Monday. The nurses do a good job but they can`t be everywhere.Besides shes my Grama! After we saw her we took my daughter to work then back home.It was a long day but I`m walking on air that Grama is doing so well.TY all for your concern.I really have the greatest friends!! Big hugs!!
