Well, it's back to square one. Went to the research study and after their in person interview, they decided I wasn't a good enough candidate for the study because I had been on several different medications over the years without much success. Since they are trying to get FDA approval, they want people who have either never taken meds for their condition, or have had success with meds in the past but are currently not taking any or are willing to try something else. They gave me a list of referral numbers, most of which I have tried and been turned away. It seems like a hopeless situation that I'm in. I've had difficulty with finding steady employment or even being able to concentrate on my work when I am working. The more jobs I have on my resume, the more unstable and unreliable I appear to be to people who might hire me. Unemployment will be used up in a couple months, and when it is I'll have no income. I don't know what to do. I inquired about SSDI through a website advertised here and they said I have to be receiving treatment and have a doctor state that I will not be able to work for at least 12 months in order to even be considered for SSDI. But, of course I can't find anyone to treat me for free and can't afford to pay for treatment and/or prescriptions. I feel like I have no options. If I get a job I won't be able to go for SSDI and I'll probably lose that job too due to my inability to focus on my work. If I could get treated, and have an income during and get better, I could maybe become a productive member of society again. But, right now, I feel worthless and hopeless. Like I'm in a deep hole that I can never get out of. I keep trying to pull myself up, but end up falling back down.
