Finished watching The secret life of a manic-depressive by Stephen Fry ,,,who is generally brilliant in anything he is involved in ,,, this is no exception,, you can find it on YouTube..
I am a bit upset and frankly puzzled by some people I have recently corresponded with ,,some very new people who seem to earnestly want contact and yet after a single note seem to take flight and disappear ,,, of course I have no idea what is going on in their lives ,,so it becomes food for my insecurity to be very frank about it,,,
But I am fully aware that is the nature of the medium and I have written about it myself over and over again,,
I have been thinking a lot on the current NSA data-mining scandal and it occurs to me that the problem is not at all this new 21st century technology, rather it is the mid 20th century minds that are entrusted to operate this technology.. If you think about it ,, this episode is nothing less than a Nixonian wet dream,, if only he had this technology during Watergate along with the anti-war movement at the time.
The Anti-war activists were of course to be seen as terrorists bent on subverting the national security interests of the United States ,,.. the only problem was that they were technologically about 40 years to early.

Very good post -- so true about Big Brother putting his nose into our private lives and keeping track of us in ways we can only imagine.
Yes, people do come and go based on where they happen to be in life -- I just wish them the best and many times they pop in even a long time later for an update. I have not had anyone be offensive in this regard they just seem to be managing life the best they know how.
