Thanksgiving

Happy Blessed Thanksgiving To those here in the USA and much Gratitude to all here for being here even if you not celebrating this holiday

I am at my son's and the grandchildren give me adrenaline rushes. My son is another story altogether. He doesn't want to comprehend my health issues and can be extremely hurtful, however I am learning NOT to take him personally, even though he projects himself on to me. I love him unconditionally and when it really hurts I walk into another room and remember what I have learned in Alanon.... I also have practiced loving myself as I am today and this helps with the sarcastic insults. When I am content and self loving my son's attitude drifts away from me and I just keep love and compassion in my heart and prayers for him.

I am in pain when getting up each day and once I am up for at least 4 hours the pain disapates. Then comes back in the evening. You all know how that can be. I am praying I can discipline myself to making smoothies and juicing, as well as just some moderate exercise, mostly yoga and walking to strengthen this weak body. I do love cooking for my family, for this is one thing my son truly appreciates. Being around the two little ones is rough. 1 yr and 3 yr old but my 15yr old grandson is a wonderful big brother as my son is a wonderful living father to his boys. My son's father never was present for him and I think he decided to give his son's everything he never received from a father to his boys.

I am going to make my stuffing soon, so all I have to do tomorrow is put Tom Turkey in the oven and make veggies. We all love football, so we will watch the three games on tomorrow and I love watching The Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York, which I took my son to when he was a young boy. It's grand for children. I am living in a state of Gratitude with a Smile on my Heart and feel emotionally positive and joyful.

Gentle HUGS to All DS dear ones.
Love & Peace
Debra

I\'m so sorry your son doesn\'t get it. Have a wonderful time with your grandkids. I know there are people in my family who ask me every holiday if I have hurt myself (because I\'m limping.) I think, \"How many times do I have to explain I have a chronic illness?\" Oh, well, you can\'t fix stupid, but you can sedate it :). I\'m hoping the turkey will help with that. Much love. Heather.

I\'m very sorry that your son is continuing to treat you unfairly.Considering all the physical suffering you are experiencing, surely he has a conscience. You certainly are handling it with strength and tolerance.Warrior woman!!. I hope your Thanksgiving went well, Debra, and with not too much adrenaline rush! I\'m so sorry about the situation with your son. It does take all the strength you can muster up when you are physically sick and have to deal with people who are not empathetic. Walking away is the wise thing to do.

I am so sorry I am late to this journal. Crazyness abounds at this time of year and I can get caught up in it.

Hope Tom Turkey came out great! I have a feeling it did!! xo : )
