Well, it's pretty much over, thank God...I bought new Christmas trees today, half price, and a few new ornaments so I definitely plan on putting up Christmas trees next year...glad this one is over.
It was a rough one for me too. I can\'t even drag myself up enough to go to church...lucky for me it is online...ugh. My poor family. I am such a Debby\'s downer...
It is always a relief when Christmas is over. New Years is nigh but to me it is party time. We aren\'t great party people. Neither was Lisa - she preferred to spend a quiet night at home with her family.
I look forward to seeing your tree next year!!!
Love and tight hugs, M
Always moments to exhale to BE on the other side of these days. Each year feels different for me because I\'m not in the same place that I was in the year before. Mr. LJ bought a board game and we had such fun playing it. It kept our minds in the moment and we also spoke with our loved ones and there was the gift of a most spectacular double rainbow! Along with that and the full moon I felt as if Mother Nature was sending us all that she could.
You will be prepared for next year with some decorations and it always feels great to find good deals.
You did it and that\'s all that matters... I\'m sure your nephew too was delighted with the gifts that you chose for him too. Did he have a favorite?
Glad you are looking forward, to putting up a Christmas tree next year. I put up a small one, but then ran away from home, to spend Christmas with my stepdaughter in Texas.
My nephew was overwhelmed and thrilled!!! I know I went overboard but I don\'t get to see him very often and I just want to spoil him, lol. I bought a beautiful big tree, half-price, and a smaller white tree with colored lights for my candy tree in my kitchen. The bigtree for the family room will be decorated with bronze and deep reds...my favorite \"grown up\" colors. My candy tree will be candy colors...pink, teal, yellow...happy Easter colors. I am actually looking forward to Christmas next year because of it, I hope when the time comes I will feel the same.
I feel like we have accomplished something just by surviving Christmas. We didn\'t go to church today either. People don\'t really want to know what our day was like. Glad you had fun spoiling your nephew.
Surviving Christmas is a big accomplishment for me. I dread it when it comes and thankful it is over. Nine years I to this heartache I have to say the years do get better for me. The raw hurt is not there but the whole in my heart will always be there. Spoil that nephew I do . Love you
Your trees sound lovely! I am glad you enjoyed the time and presents given to your nephew. Those memories are now etched in your hearts. Sending love your way...
Gina, I get so sad when I hear over & over everyone\'s plans for Christmas, their kids coming home from college or visiting from out of state. If only we could visit our kids in Heaven. As others have said, it\'s an accomplishment just to survive the holidays. It hurts.
So nice that you have your nephew & it sounds like you had fun spoiling him! Your trees & plans for next year sounds wonderful. Something to look forward to.
Love to you and Cassi, Linda
