Woo-Hoo
Today I got off easy!!! Spent all morning doing paperwork then they let me go!!! I had to go buy some more clothes and shoes...and I had to get ugly shoes ughhh!!!! Ugly, ugly shoes...oh well, it doesn't matter..what matters is the people I will be helping once I get through all the red tape and jump through hoops...Tomorrow I have to go for a drug test and get fingerprinted...quite complicated...and it's sooooo hot!!! I told them I had a sleeve ordered that is for covering my tattoo on my arm and they said I would need to wear long sleeves until it comes in...I will be spending a lot of time visiting the clients, out in the field...hope that sleeve comes in soon!!!

It sounds like a rather strict dress code. I guess the ugly shoes are a safety thing. Our agencies require police checks but not fingerprints. It sounds like you got through the hard part - getting up and going there.

We wear ugly shoes at my job too LOL. Have to be black and it can be tricky to find water proof ones. It is a requirement at my job to get drug tested but not fingerprinted. I am assuming this is a safety measure since you will be dealing with folks on the \"other side of the counter\". I don\'t think this is a bad thing! The tatts...well, I guess you already knew these could be a problem with a job! I told my son, HAHA but he has a sleeve as well. I do not know, what a sleeve for covering tats looks like, or is made out of. Could it be covered with Derma Blend?? Long sleeves in Florida, along with ugly shoes and NO SEX ??? No thanks, lol....

Feels as if everything is moving along! Never heard of a sleeve for a tatt and had to see one for myself. Looks more like an ace bandage and hot to me, the ones that I saw.

Ugly shoes are your friend and were always mine when I was on my feet the entire day. :)

So sorry about the ugly shoes; hope they\'re at least comfortable! Julia\'s idea about Derma Blend sounds good. I\'m thinking maybe you could go to a store that carries it & you could experiment w/ it. Penney\'s used to have trained consultants. When I tried it some years back, we got the right shade but not able to match texture of the surrounding skin. Still, it might be worthwhile to check into since it\'s your arm & probably not focused on like your face is.
