Happy Easter
Happy Easter everyone. It is a bittersweet holiday as all are when we live with loss. I decided to try to remember to be grateful. I don't think I was aware of how fortunate I was a few weeks ago. Now I know...but, I still have a lot to be grateful for. I lost the most precious blessing I had, however I am grateful that I had her to begin with. Most of her life she was the sweetest child any mother could dream of. When she was in pain I always wished I could take it from her. I guess, in a way, I have. She is free from pain in a way she never could have been in this life but it has caused me more pain than I can describe. I try to think of it as my pain is the price I have to pay for her Peace. I miss my baby, but I believe she is happy now and one day we will be together again.

Oh Gina. How beautifully you have expressed your love for Cassi. Our girls are indeed free of pain. And yes, we will be together again one day. I believe our work here on earth is not yet done. So we soldier on.
The pain is sometimes torture but I am thankful every day for the support I have from the courageous women here on FMO.
Wishing you and Cassi peace and love,
Marlene

The single most mysterious thing about the resurrection is that Jesus did not appear to his beloved followers (and his Mother) as instantly recognizable. I think this is something one never hears preached from any Christian pulpit, I certainly have never heard it. He appeared in his glorified form, still absolutely Himself, yet not easily recognizable by those still in the flesh of earth. He had to make Himself known. He said and did things to help those who loved Him to finally recognize Him. Who among us is prepared to see the glorified form of our loved one who is gone? No He was not a ghost, but neither was He bound by this dimension, this pseudo-reality which is actually created by our BRAINS as the brain interprets what it *sees* through the eyes in a millionth of a second and then informs the Mind. Complicated. Scientifically proven.
Easter is bitter sweet for so many reasons. We remember the Easter baskets we gave our beloved children. Even in her young adulthood, I gave my kid an Easter basket. In her case, Asperger\'s and complex psychosis stopped her from maturing, she wanted to be ten years old and she wanted to be a young woman, both at once. I tried so hard to care for both of those desires. No Easter basket, fourth Easter in a row. Sitting in Church surrounded by families is exquisite torture. God knows this.
As Marlene said, \"we soldier on\" not knowing what God wants of us. I think what we share here together is very much what God wants of us. Without one another, we would be even more lost and confused. Take heart, sister. Your daughter is not only free of pain, she has finished the course, and she is now in paradise.
I feel the same Gina..I am grateful for Patrick\'s peace. I willingly pay the pain price that it has cost me. It does not make me less sad, just a little more justified in it.
Gentle hugs, Gina. Our children are in God\'s loving care and no longer suffering. As we hold on until we see them again we have each other for support.
Much love to you and dearest Cassi, Linda
Happy Easter, Gina. Cassi is with our kids and I really believe that they are together and know that we are as well. Not long after my Michael died, a mother told me that she had \"one safe child\" and that was the one who had died. I was in so much pain at the time that I could not get a grasp on what she said. I do understand now what she was saying. I have to believe that there is a peace that passes all understanding.
Love. and Peace.
I am glad you have felt a bit of peace. I love how Marlene says we soldier on...we do and you do too. Love and hugs...Karen
Vibes of healing continue to wash over you and Cassi loves your bravery in forging ahead. Peace, Kathy
Yes, soldiers we are with warrior spirits who just keep on keeping on.
Gratitude amidst the tears and sorrow for these beautiful children of ours who are deeply loved and sorely missed.
Cassi is at peace as are all our children and I can only imagine.
Loving care dearest Gina and hope that paintbrush is in your hand.
