I went to my retrieval yesterday and I had 9 eggs. I know they always tell you that everything will not fertilize, but I was hoping that they all would so that I could have some eggs to put back. Well, the doctor's office called me this morning and informed me that only 4 eggs had fertilized and that my retrieval would be Saturday. I'm kind of afraid because the last time I tried IVF I only had 5 eggs fertilize and three stop growing before we could even get to the cryopreservation stage. So I ended up with only two eggs and they had not even reached the blastocyst stage. Well, we never did figure out why the eggs stopped growing and we decided to try IVF again the following year. I have a lot of obstacles in the way that prevent me from getting pregnant naturally, so I know this is my only hope. I never really discuss my problem with anyone due to me being ashamed of my problem. But I've now realized that I have to trust in God that He will make a way out of no way. I now have realized that this is totally out of my hands. I have decided that I will put this whole situation in God's hands and if this turns out like my last IVF( a failure) I will not crumble. I will go on with life and know that God has a plan for us all and that what I want might not neccessarily be what He has planned for me.
