YIKES
This morning just 4 miles from where I live - the biggest JOLT I have ever felt since living in California was felt - the dishes rattled and my sentimental trinkets of Jennifer's fell down within the curio cabinet.....This earthquake lasted about 5 - 10 seconds but my heart is still racing.....pictures fell off wall, things fell out of medicine cabinet.....I sure would hate to feel a 7 or 8....broke 2 windows in the exercise room of the complex I live....YIKES,,,,,YIKES.......They say it was a 4.5......felt like a 10 to me.
It's been raining all day as well as yesterday and I typically don't think that is earthquake weather but I guess when the earth needs to roar, it roars.......Wishing you all a peaceful Wednesday!! (((hugs))) Vicki

Wow, that is scarey!! I was visiting Ok. this summer, when the same thing happened. Almost knocked me out of my chair!!

Yikes is right! Thankfully it was a \"minor\" earthquake and you are okay except for some rattled nerves.
My daughter and her husband experienced a few of those when they were living in San Francisco. Needless to say, it must be very scary when the earth literally moves under your feet!

So scary. We had a really really mild one here in Utah several years ago and I only felt the ground tremor and I was a basket case. Don\'t know how to handle things falling off the walls. Glad that was all and that everyone is OK. Happy new year. Much love. Robin
Oh boy - I hadn\'t heard about that in the news. So glad you are alright and not too much damage was done. I\'m sure that gave you a big jolt. Scary for sure! Joanna x
Oh my gosh...that is terrifying. I am so glad that you are okay...even if your nerves are still on edge! I did see on the news how hard all the rain has been for Californians...especially after the fires and no vegetation left on mountainsides. Take gentle care! Love and hugs...Karen

It is so very scary, Vicki, and I agree, I don\'t know how anyone handles a major one. Here in the Maryland/DC/Virginia area, we had one about 4 years ago. Very scary to feel the very basement floor underneath shaking and things falling! The Washington Monument was closed for quite some time for structural damage and safety precautions. It is the only tremors I have felt in my life and is enough for me! I pray for you guys all out west. Weather is crazy everywhere!

Thanks you all for such sweet words and support for my nervous day yesterday. We are still having torrential rains, pretty constant. The hills by my school are covered with snow - that\'s the only way I like to see snow is away from me!! Hopefully tomorrow we will have a break from rain - I\'m a beach person so 2 days of rain is enough for me - bring on the sun :) Have a great day in whatever that is for you!!
Mother Nature is shifting all around as are we. So very scary indeed and grateful to know that you are okay. I was in the midst of one while in college in Missouri which has a lot of seismic activity and it was the strangest feeling to experience.
