Happy Wednesday!!
Welp, only 2 more days and I will have a chance to be off the pain pills and I'm nervous and excited all at the same time!! I'm in a pretty good mood today.....I'm not really letting anyone or anything get me down! I adopted a 2 yr old boy kitty named Peanut 2 weeks ago. He's SO CUTE!!! He has long white fur and teeny spots of beige-ish red. He's the 4th edition to my kitties. I adopted him from the humane society. They are all getting along pretty well. I have Shelby-Rose, who was hit by a car years ago and broke both her back legs and now has a steel rod in one for life (the other leg had one too, but it was taken out). She kinda reminds ya of Captain Morgan with her leg...lol Then there's Cuddles-Melinda. We were up north yrs ago and she came running out of the woods right onto my lap and she was injured, so I brought her home to the vets and we've had her ever since. The baby of the house is Autumn. He's only 1, but he's huge! A big ole farm cat. He has long fur and is the color orange, like morris the cat on commercials. He and Peanut look just alike, but different colors. The boys love to play with each other!! I got them new "bridie feathers" yesterday and boy o boy were they happy!! (peacock feathers) These animals give me so much joy and happiness....they are my passion in life! Autumn was found by a neighbor girl at a local school and these kids found these kittens and were throwing them down a slide so my neighbor girl grabbed one and ran in my back door begging me to take him, so I did.
So, yeah, I was just thinking of things that make me smile and that's what came to mind. I have butterflies in my stomach everytime I think about Friday and no more pain pills. It's kind of the feeling while going up a roller coaster hill.....anticipating the drop down the tracks....could be terrifying or could be great or both. I will have to wait until Monday to write about it, since i don't have a PC at home.
Damien's counselor called yesterday and said that he could come into school early in the mornings and try to get caught up on his work and grades, so we are making that sacrifice, because it's the right thing to do. You can't have anything worthwhile in life, without hard work. As I told him....time to pay the piper. Besides....anything can be "given", but when you earn it, it's a whole different feeling. Ahhh, pride! It can be a good thing!!
I'm worried about my friends on here a little. I wish there was a lot more I could do to help them!! I will continue to pray for them, too!!
My late dad always used to say that "everyday we wake up, we are solving problems"... I guess that's what life is. We all have personal struggles and I honestly believe that what we go through builds who we are, and also how we are able to helps others. Sometimes we get so messed up that we can't see the light at the end, even if friends/people say there is one..... But when we get to that light is when we can help others by letting them know: Hang on, keep positive, you WILL make it through these hard times.....why? Because during our hard times, when we couldn't believe that it would end, it would end, and yes, we were "okay" and we made it through...
Okay, I feel like I'm rambing...lol Until next time! YOU are blessed!!!
God Bless!! Sam
