Pain
Good intentions are tragic failures.
So today, I am silently, as I do everyday, starting again. Today's twist is no coffee, then no alcohol. One may be a gateway to the next. Time will tell. It always does.
Why now? Yesterday was a binge. The same pathways. The same habits. One led to another.
Christmas depressed me this year. Expectations were lowered. That we agreed upon. To give each other a modest list of items. That we would have bought for ourselves anyways. My list was simple, ink & laser printer cartridges and an iPad keyboard case. I got a coffee cup. The iPad keyboard case was given to another family member to with their new iPad. Misunderstandings without a bow. We also each upgraded our iPhones & got willingly screwed by BestBuy.
Due to agreed upon financia planning, a new smoker was purchased. My bonus & my Craigslist profits were used. I guess that is going to have to be a reasonable substitute for cartridges & a case.
Pity pity pity party. While I'm down here, I may as well face the agony of withdrawal. I'm a low grade consumer of all things healthcare related. Except for one necessary prescription, one 81mg aspirin, one multivitamin & a daily 500mg vitamin C. After that, band aids, OTC et al are avoided.
