Good morning,
I love the morning and am such a morning person. I especially love the weekends and this is my second full weekend of not drinking. Waking up feeling refreshed, energized and happy. Instead of hung over, tired and depressed. Alcohol really depresses me. Even having one or two drinks makes me feel like crap. But often times I don't stop at one or two. It's been such a vicious cycle. Drink, start feeling good, drink more, then I don't eat, then late at night eat a bunch of crap, wake up in the morning feeling tired, depressed, missed my work out at the gym, go to work and be on the verge of tears all day. I'm really good at beating myself up and being hard on myself. My awareness and dissatisfaction with this pattern is becoming stronger and I'm grateful. I'm not getting any younger and it's time to start taking better care of me. To create a life that feels good on the inside, not one that just looks good on outside. I have two kids and it's really just us even though they spend some time with their dad, who is a selfish fruit fly. Yes, be more gentle. My kids are everything to me and I must walk my walk. Be a good example of health and be 100% present and healthy to the best of my ability. Yes, there will be blunders. But, I pray for patience, strength, compassion and loving kindness for me. Time to get going... I have lots of energy and it's Sunday Funday. Peace....

Sunday Funday! Your right we do sound like we are walking similar paths. This sounds how I feel too. It was so nice today to not be hungover or regretful for anything over this weekend. There has been a bottle 1/2 a bottle of brandy out all weekend. I am about to touch it but only to put it out of my site once & for all.
