50 days...and nights
Well, it has been 50 days since the last time I gambled. Happiness is . . . . I have noticed a few things since I stopped going to the casinos.....changes in my husband, less urges to gamble, thinking with my head instead of my emotions. I had breakfast today with a very good friend who has known me when - - through thick and thin - since 1980.. We had a great time catching up; we see eachother quite often actually, but the last few weeks we've both been pretty busy. She was very happy and proud of me for quitting... as we were leaving and talking in the parking lot - a wave of thankfulness came over me - for good friends and for some HP getting me through all of this. I'm finally ready to put in the work, though so that does make a difference.
Recently have more work responsibilities which I love; it has helped to keep very busy at the job, so things will intensify there.... As long as we keep hiring and firing so to speak, I'm good. :] In the next month, the story will be told re: my husband's position and we are both a little concerned about it but I'm sure things will work out the way they were meant. If we end up leaving the state, that will be fine too.. .CA does have it's financial and other issues.
Time to run get some things done,
