It's 1:45 a.m. here. I'm waiting for the dye on my hair to finish. In about 10 hours or so I will be leaving for Tennessee and my brother's wedding. It's finally here. I'm really not looking forward to it for so many reasons, but hey-that's why I have meds is to smooth these rough edges out.
Work is going well after almost being fired on Monday. It's just taking time for the guys and me to warm up to each other. Still I dont feel the same tension there that I felt for awhile.
Had my therapy session Wednesday. It went ok. We discussed the way he gets in touch with me about little things now and then-maybe to just keep me on the string. We discussed how I pretty much do the same thing to him. This is something we've always done-except for the 2 year period when he dumped me to marry someone else. THAT time he was in Memphis and I was in N.O. so there really was no contact.
Which...once I get back from my trip I will start doing some heavy duty thinking about my future. I think it's quite possible I cannot get over him as long as we live in the same town. As much as I hate the thought of it, I might need to get a job somewhere else. Sigh...I'm not making any snap decisions. I'm just not sure it's a good idea considering my age and all. But, not going to worry about it right now.
Hitting the road later today and hoping to have a great time.

Have a great time at the wedding. As for that man, so what he is living in the same town. My ex lives about 15 min. drive and I never see him. I am always out and about. If I do see him, I just smile, and slowly walk away. Head up, with pride in my posture. Giggling at the same time. It is not worth it. They just want us to roll over and be a doormat for them. They could be on the moon and our mind will still go back to them. We have to stop that train of thought as soon as it starts. Start looking after number one, you. Hugs my friend.
THANKS!
Jackie, I really do hope and pray that you have a far better time than you anticipate at your brothers wedding. If nothing else, enjoy the time away in a different environment. You never know it could help you to get clarity and an even better perspective on your situation in life.
I like what Knuckle has said. Hold your head up high and LIVE your own life. (((hugs)))
I think I will...besides there will be margarita fountains! And Mimosas! Today I am STOKED! Oh I am going to love the atmosphere. It is so beautiful up there...We will be missing our folks. It\'s hard to explain what a huge deal this is. Because although he\'s always been very eligible, he\'s made it to 54 without being married. And it\'s hard to think of anyone better suited for him than her. Trust me there were a couple none of us liked! So counting the hours till noon! Thanks All! ( Oh, for perspective....I don\'t like weddings or things like that at all. Never have. So that\'s part of it.) But I have a new hairstyle and colored/highlighted... Let\'s PARTAY!
