4th of July Parade pics
Hi Everyone, I hope you are doing well. I'm having a hard day today. Just feeling badly about myself and other stuff. I did have a good day on the 4th of July. There was a parade a few blocks from where I live so I walked over, took my fold-up chair and found a place to watch it. I hope you like these photos. There was a Tuba man, everytime he blew the Tuba the USA words would flash on the front of the Tuba. The last pic is of vintage WW1 bi-planes that did a flyover (several times) There an eagle mascot of the Washington Capitals Hockey team, his name is Slapshot.
First photo is a float from Mason Univ (the University is nearby) There is a pic of a MASH 4077 (like from the show) vehicle, that was neat to take a pic of. Some are kind of blurry cause my kindle doesn't seem to like taking pics of moving objects very well. I loved the Fife and Drum band, I saw one at Mt. Vernon recently as well. It was a very nice day, plenty of people showed up to watch and these girls, maybe early teens, asked politely if they could sit in front of me, I was shocked cause these days people aren't as polite as they used to be. They also thanked me for letting them sit in front of me when they left. I was surprised, but pleased.
Enjoy the parade everyone!

Love the pictures, mostly I love the ones with the old cars. Some towns have great parades, yours was one of them. I'm glad you had a good 4th, sounds like you needed it. I hope your spirits lift soon!!

Love the pictures, Linda! Looks like it was a beautiful day there, and I'm glad you were able to enjoy it. I'm sorry you're feeling badly about yourself. From my vantage point, you're pretty darn awesome! Try not to put yourself down. Negative self-talk will only make you miserable and prevent you from reaching your goals. I know -- I have my own inner critic too, and sometimes I have to tell her to shut up! : ) I'm always here if you need someone to talk with. Hugs!
