4th of July--Happy Birthday America!
Typical 4th of July---swealtering heat here in NYC--temp was very high in the 80's and lots of Humidity. Couldn't stay out long. Amazingly, my one friend invited me to her son's house for a bbq. He had just gotten a pool. We stayed in the pool most of the day, and had good food. Loner that I am, boy was this a treat for me. I don't think I ever went anywhere on the 4th of July, I was mostly alone all the time. It was so nice to be out there, talking to people and socializing for a change. I hope something like this happens again one day.
It's 9:30 pm and I've just gotten home and am listening to the fireworks. Hope you all had a good 4th of July!

Glad that to had such a nice day with your friend..I got invited to a bbq also where there was a pool, a great day for it.
