4dpt update

Just a quick update now that I'm 4 days into my 2ww. I have one week to go until my beta. This time, I'm much more relaxed about getting a BFP since I'm really not expecting one, and if I do get one, I will be very surprised. Of course I know part of this is a defense mechanism, but I also know that I'm less than a month from turning 44 years old and my chances are pretty low of getting a BFP with my own eggs. I have been following all the "rules and restrictions" and this time I'm taking the baby aspirin and prednisone and of course, the progesterone. The prednizone has made me jittery and anxious and I'm not sure if this is related (according to the potential side effects it is) but I've been getting up like 6-7 times a night to pee (sorry if TMI) but only at night. I told the RE but they don't think its related to the prednizone. I would think I might have a bladder infection, but I'm fine during the day.
It looks like we might be nearing the end of our TTC really soon here and having to make some big decisions about our next steps. DE and adoption are not options because of cost, so it looks like we might just have to accept children are not a part of our future. As hard as that is to think of or admit, I think I need to start coming to terms with this sooner than later. I'm very worried about how my future looks but for now, I'm going to take it one day at a time and not overthink or analyze too much until I get my beta results.
Hoping you are all doing well on your TTC, TT adopt, or whatever journey you are on. I am so thankful for all of your support xoxo

I am so rooting for you. I think when we\'re not expecting positive results is when the 2ww is the easiest to deal with. I end up having to get up numerous times at night to pee, and I assumed it was the progesterone. Fingers crossed!!

I hope this is your BFP! But if it isn\'t, have you looked into fostering to adopt from the state? You would have to be ok with getting an older child, but it doesn\'t cost you anything. In fact, the state pays you and provides healthcare for the child in a lot of cases.

Thinking of you and hoping for the very very best. Hope the 2WW goes quickly and in the meantime...I think you are having a very healthy, relaxed as is possible attitude. It\'s so hard. Hoping that the Universe gives you your very much deserved bfp!

I\'m praying that this one is it for you. I use that as a defense mechanism too, it\'s just a way of protecting ourselves against feeling worse than we already do. I know plenty of people who get preggo at your age and older, it can happen, keep faith! XOXO
