Regarding the comic strip:   I'm trying hard to work in the time to do it. I have a lot of old material from when my first strip was published in the CC News years ago, but it all has to be updated or tossed since I'm adopting a new approach. The trick is doing all the domestic stuff (cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, going over homework, argueing about showering, brushing teeth, and going to bed, working in quality time, etc.) while getting my mandatory 10 - 12 hours of sleep a day needed to stem epileptic seizures AND still having time, energy, and enthusiasm to sit down at my drawing and CREATE. It's taking some work, but the first step has been to cut down on the cooking. (More on this in my journal. Read it and know me).   Unfortunately for me, this year a source of great inspiration (and just a helluva lotta fun) was financially impossible: the San Diego Comic Convention. We have gone the last 2 years and its such a thrill to shake hands with folk like Frank Cho and Sergio Aragones. It's also great to show my budding would-be artist progeny that she can make a living doing what she LOVES instead of answering phones in a cubicle filled with post-it-notes and fake plants. But there's always next year.   So, sorry, no actual physical progress in this area as of yet. J (who is going to be doing some of the writing) and I are considering approaching some industry magazines directly instead of going to any of the syndicates. I'm waiting for funds to relax so I can join the Graphic Arts Guild which will supply me not only with information on submitting, but also current pricing and copyright info as well.   Wish us luck! (And write me,Moab!)
