Depression
I was diagnosed with depression in 2006, about a year after my mom's near-fatal wreck. I've struggled with it on and off since then. I've broken more times that I care to count in those years. It's been a very difficult journey. Random things will just set me off into crying fits.
I've been in therapy multiple times and tried multiple drugs. None of it really worked for me. I turned to my faith a few years ago and it has really helped me. The only problem is that I still feel empty at times. Something is missing and I don't know how to find it.
I was diagnosed with MS in August 2014. I lost my job this May. It's been a rather hard year of late. I've applied to just about every job I can find, but no one is laying the job opportunities at my feet so my depression has been rearing it's head.
The sad thing is that I can hide it so well at home. My parents are so self-absorbed that they don't even notice my suffering. They don't even care that I'm hurting. My dogs notice that I hurt and they want to love up on me. I will forever be thankful to these wonderful dogs for coming into my life.

I\'ve seen you just joined DS hope job hunt happens for you soon. MS is bad enough to deal with hoping things get better. DS is a great place for support. Chuck
Depression and anxiety have been my \"companions\" for most of my life. They seem to be common in a lot of us with MS. I was on one of the meds but discontinued it and now am glad because it is one of the ones that causes bone loss. I shrunk over 2\" in 2 years and now can add Osteoporosis to this list of things I have to worry about. LOL
I hope you can find a way to handle your daily load.
Gentle hugs, Linda
