Snow!!!
We are getting ready for snow here in the south! We are going bananas! We rarely get snow so this is a big event here. Schools will pprobably be closed. Going to take this time to love, laugh and make memories with the fam. Needless to say, food will be on my agenda!!
The past few days I have sat back and contemplated the reasons why I allow certain thngs in my life. The answer always comes back to low self esteem and fear of abandonment or rejection. I no longer wish to be anyone's doormat. I'm nice, but no longer to my detriment. Enough is enough. For everyone in my life that showed me their hand, thank you for the heads up! I will govern myself accordingly.
Anyway, I refuse to live in the future. Today, I'm going to be enjoy this beautiful weather and get geared up for this snow!!

I\'m in Houston and just heard there\'s going to be ice storm tomorrow! I\'m just hoping our office will be closed so I can stay home :)
I can relate as in most of the bad decisions I\'ve made were due to low self esteem and loneliness. I\'m glad you\'ve come to the realization and making changes. Best wishes!
Thank you siyab!!! Yes indeed, the weather is REAL everywhere, but southern states usually don\'t have to worry about the cold extremes. I\'m excited though! I hope you get a snow day or ice day!
Yeah this low self esteem has been such a hinder to me. I\'ve got to put more value on myself. My time is valuable, my friendship is valuable etc. Tired of getting tossed to and fro at the whim of others. It\'s time to stand up for ME!!!! Hope you\'ll do the same honey!
Way to go Lapsmom. That\'s the spirit. Glad you are looking forward to snow, of course us Canucks are used to it . I even looked at snowshoes today at a store! This has been the most snow ever for us in years here in Southern Ontario. Many snow days for kids this year. Safe driving!
Great attitude, Lapsmom! Enjoy what you can from every moment and don\'t let small minds steal your happiness. Wow, snow? You\'re right, the south doesn\'t handle snow like places that get it regularly. When I lived in Atlanta, three inches of snow closed the city down entirely for a full week. Enjoy the family time, food and make some good memories.
Huron, I know you guys deal with snow regularly! When we get it here it is an event!! lol!!! I mean parties and all sorts of goings on!! Keepingthefaithalive, since you lived in the ATL, you understand that the south will be CLOSED!!! LOLOLOL!! I mean not just schools, but the ENTIRE region!!!
Yes you guys, I am taking a stand against my low self esteem! I hope any of you that struggle with these issues as I do, will fight against them!!!

I lived in Illinois for 17 years... Recently someone here was talking about the recent ice storm we had (nov,dec?)... I had no idea what she was referring to... Ice storm? Oh my goodness... Please include a cup of hot cocoa with marshmallows on your list of fine activities for the winter weather... A little like chicken soup for the soul, but this is more for the spirit! Yay!
Are you doing ok? We are having a winter storm event. It is so strange to see traffic news cameras showing no traffic in Baton Rouge. BATON ROUGE!!! A fairly busy city. A major hub of truckers. A major hub of government because it is the state capital. Yet the traffic cameras so almost no traffic on the interstates. The news is reporting that they are closing major parts of the interstate. Wow!!!!!!!!!!
