DAY 76

Have had a great day so far - got together with some old friends and had a lot of fun catching up on our lives.  Ran across someone too who had had an alcohol problem in the past; she & her husband both quit drinking and have both lost weight; their lives became pretty unmanageable for something that had been just a social activity at one time... I was happy to see that they made a new life choice and they look terrific.  I did not talk about my quitting gambling, but I was thinking - all of us have some sort of changes to make in our lives; the other person has to lose weight and reduce stress to stay healthy... it's a challenge for us all, whether it's alcohol, drugs, eating, gambling, etc.,  Sometimes we feel alone in this addiction recovery, depending on where we are and who is around us, but truly, we are never alone in our struggles.
