DAY 63

Into Month Two - actually, I found out today that I have motivated a friend here at work to quit gambling.  She & I used to go to the casinos together... she told me today that over the weekend she went with a friend and her sisters who all wanted to go.  She lost - most everyone lost a lot of money of course except one who was up a little, but very little.  She was pretty much in control and didn't take more $$ out though she could have... I think I have influenced her..  She said she is now going to do what I'm doing - it was a waste of her day, time, etc. and she's now determined to stop making her deposits at the casinos:]!!!!  I felt good about that & it's always easier to do it together and support one another. 
I had another positive thing happen today... I'm fostering a dog - long story, but the friends of the woman who had to give him up put together some $$ and handed it to me this morning on behalf of Maxie, the dog who now needs a home... They were so appreciative that I took him so he wouldn't go to the shelters.  Now in the old days, that cash in an envelope would have been very dangerous to me, that is for sure, but not now, which I am happy about.
