Day 49

I'm feeling good today -happy that I have stayed away from the casino for another day.  (odaat)  Last night we were at some friends' home and I ended up talking about my slot machine addiction to one of the ladies... she had been talking about her weight and going up and down with that, trying to make another commitment, etc., and one thing led to another.  I didn't sugar coat it like I have in the past - I think these friends just thought I liked to play and go out to the casinos, but didn't associate it really with any kind of serious addiction.  Things were very subtle and  joke-like when we talked about it but never really serious.  Of course my husband knew, but the others really didn't see me as a compulsive gambler, just a fun-loving person who likes to play the games. It was interesting - I was glad I shared a little bit with her.  People totally understand the temptation out there these days with so many casinos up and running (robbing :] ) us of not only $$ but our personal dignity and self-esteem... so glad I've quit.
On to day 50!
