I go back through my life, and I look at the things that I have done that have brought me to the place I am now and have made me the person that I am now. Some of the moments in my life I recognize a crux moments: moments that clearly changed the course of my life forever after.  Some of these crux moments just happened, some were made as deliberate decisions.  Some of those decisions I recognize now as being based on faulty information, or were made out of weakness. Who I am now is, of course, not a static thing.  I am still making decisions.  Every moment of my life is a potential crux.  I could hop in my car right now and drive up to Alaska.  And every moment of my life thereafter would be affected by that decision. What I do instead is make decisions to maintain the status quo.  I hide in indecisiveness, afraid to move, as I'm afraid that any move I make will make my life worse.  Many of the decisions I've made in the past, no matter how well thought out, have had the opposite effect that I intended for them to have. I sit here at my desk at work.  Before me lies, litterally, an infinite number of possible choices.  Do any of these choices bring me ultimate happiness?  Satisifaction?  Peace?  Among an infinity of choices, it seems certain that at lease one of them would.  Not necessarily, but it seems likely. Infinite choices.  Something each of us is faced with every waking moment of our lives.  Which choices are the right ones? Chaos theory devolves into virtually absolute uncertainty.  Is it possible that even God doesn't know which choice to make?  Some choices clearly lead to better prospects than others.  So I play the odds.  I make the safe choices so that my life doesn't change much.  But what if one of those riskier choices is the one that leads me out of this quagmire I am stuck in. I don't know.  I've decided to think about it a bit more.  That seems like a safe choice. Sigh. Steve

Don\'t forget that we\'re all travelling on that same indecisive road. I\'m cautious at intersections - don\'t want to get crushed by a runaway semi - I believe sometimes the results we achieve depend not on that one big decision, but on the hundreds of smaller ones that build our character. Love ya xxx
