I saw my doctor today, and he suggested I try to start my own, real-people type self-help group. I thought it was a worthwhile idea. When I went home and talked to my wife about it, she thought it was a good idea as well and went further to suggest that perhaps I should go back to school and get a MSW (Masters of Social Work) degree and become a therapist when I reach 55. Wow! I have to admit that the idea realy excites me. I remember when I was much younger consdering going into psychiatry. I know that I can do the classwork. I know that I love helping people and that I can sometimes be good at it. I don't know if I have the follow through sufficient to do all the detail work once I start. Oh well. It would give me something to look forward to for my future, instead of fealing dead in my current position. This feels more like the direction that my life was supposed to take, instead of being in the place where I currently am. Something to seriously think about...
