Vacation continued... The best day of our trip was the day we were in Bruges. The cathedral we sang in was spectacular, with 30 meter high ceilings and gold and stained glass windows and ... well ... WOW! We dropped a lot of euros on souveniers, which was fine enough. Great food, great people, just a great day. Camilla would bitch from time to time, but her final memory of the day was a that it was one of the best she ever had. The next day we drove to Amsterdam and ended up quite exhausted. Bad traffic, cold, and rainy. We saw some windmills, but Camilla ended up exhausted. The next day was one of the worst for her. We had a great performance in the church that Anne Frank could see from the room that she stayed in while in hiding, and, while most of the details were good, we ended up walking maybe five or six more blocks than necessary to dinner because our choir director got lost, and that event pretty much spoiled everything for her. She was exhausted after dinner and I ended up doing the night scene of Amsterdam with a couple of fellow choir members. Quite disappointing, actually. Saturday we skipped out on the planed activities and hoped to go out on our own, but Camilla was feeling very weak and ended up sleeping 20 out of 24 hours that day. We never left the hotel. So, did I have a good time? Or a bad time? I look back with fond sense of satisfaction that I finally got over to Europe and it was every bit as foreign as I hoped it to be, and I certainly enjoyed myself during some periods. But Camilla would groan and bitch so loudly at times that I wanted to shrink into my bus seat. So, as usual, I'm left with feelings of confusion over the trip overall. Well, we both survived, and that was the most important thing, in the long run.

lol glad u survived the foreigners!!
just take your own feelings with you in your memories. it sounds like it was a wonderful trip you experienced, try to remember it that way! hah- good advice from a person who\'s reluctant to take it.
awesome. I sing too. Just not all over. Just at church.
I always wanted to travel. Alone. I would set the agenda and work to my own timetable. Byt then I\'d have no shared experiences. Conflicting.
I hope it will be a good memory of time you spent with your wife doing something extraordinary!!
