Christmas

Hello everyone. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and will have a happy new year.  I will start with Christmas Eve. This marked Josh's sixth angel date.  Hard to believe it has been six years. John and I had about 20 family and friends over that night. Tears tears and more tears. My cousin Gary stood in front of all of us and told John and I that Josh would never be forgotten. Then Drew said a prayer asking the father up above to help his aunt Rhonda during this time. More tears. I am so thankful for my family. My boys that I haul around (daddy, Brian Drew and Michael) surprised me with a card telling me How much they love me and thanked me for putting up with them.  Plus $450.  More tears.  Christmas morning John surprised me with an iPad. It's pretty cool laying here on the couch and typing my journal.  I am learning how to face time a little. Loving my iPad.  John and I had dinner last night with two of Josh's friends. Bitter sweet.  Sweet that they remember and bitter hearing their plans. I am thankful they remember Josh this time of year.  One of them is in the army and will be deployed on Feb. 14th. Please keep JR in your prayers that he will return home safely. Yes the six year mark has been hard, but I have realized John and I are blessed to have family and friends to help us keep Josh's memory still alive.  Thank you all for the hugs and love.

Happy New Year, Rhonda. Tough times for us, for sure. I am glad it is all over! For me, this whole holiday season started when Michael\'s Angel date fell on Thanksgiving Day this year. My son Jason and I went to the movies on Christmas day and saw The Hobbit. I just get through this whole thing and wait for it all to be over. Hugs, Belinda

It sounds like it was a Christmas that was good as it could be. I do understand the bittersweet when visiting with friends of our kids. We too visited with one of Lisa\'s bridesmaids and we just found out that another one is pregnant. I am happy for her but it hurts too. Lisa was trying to get pregnant - she so wanted to have another child - she loved kids and was a phenomenal mother.
We were away at Christmas (having an UnChristmas) but have spent the last few days with our 16 year old granddaughter so that has been really nice. We saw Les Miserables with Cevyn yesterday. It was a really good film - a tearjerker but really good.
I wish you health, love and happiness in 2013.
Hugs, Marlene

Wow, what an amazing support system. I can certainly tell that you, John and Josh are loved as evidenced in the outpouring of love displayed. Our children will never be forgotten and it is a huge blessing to have that knowledge. Enjoy that I pad. I got one last Christmas and still can\'t figure out all the many things it is capable of doing. Much love. Robin
