Christmas

Hello everyone. I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and will have a happy new year.  I will start with Christmas Eve. This marked Josh's sixth angel date.  Hard to believe it has been six years. John and I had about 20 family and friends over that night. Tears tears and more tears. My cousin Gary stood in front of all of us and told John and I that Josh would never be forgotten. Then Drew said a prayer asking the father up above to help his aunt Rhonda during this time. More tears. I am so thankful for my family. My boys that I haul around (daddy, Brian Drew and Michael) surprised me with a card telling me How much they love me and thanked me for putting up with them.  Plus $450.  More tears.  Christmas morning John surprised me with an iPad. It's pretty cool laying here on the couch and typing my journal.  I am learning how to face time a little. Loving my iPad.  John and I had dinner last night with two of Josh's friends. Bitter sweet.  Sweet that they remember and bitter hearing their plans. I am thankful they remember Josh this time of year.  One of them is in the army and will be deployed on Feb. 14th. Please keep JR in your prayers that he will return home safely. Yes the six year mark has been hard, but I have realized John and I are blessed to have family and friends to help us keep Josh's memory still alive.  Thank you all for the hugs and love.
