Hello
Hello Everyone. Boy what a busy time for me last week. It started by working on Monday and Tuesday. My brothers and I left Tuesday night to travel to Raleigh to be with mama during her heart surgery. They took her down about 6:30 and the doctor was out about 11:30. Surgery went well. They replaced a valve with a mechanical valve. She is really doing well. She came home yesterday. My brothers and I came back home on Thursday. Thursday being Josh's 21st birthday party. John and I had 36 people attend Josh's party to help us celebrate. How amazing is that. I had a peace sign cake made. It looked really good except it being upside down. I will post a picture so you can see what I am talking about. I guess that was Josh's way of being with us. It was late when we got back home and I hadn't even thought about getting ready for John's family reunion in Tennessee. Well my nice boss lady and friend gave me Friday off to do a little shopping and get packed. John and I left Friday afternoon and arrived in Erwin about 11:30. From previous journals you know I was not looking forward to this trip. Well, I actually enjoyed it this year. John and I had Rhonda and John time that we really needed. Saturday was our day. We did hang out with some of his brothers for a while but most of the day he and I. Sunday came for the reunion. John has a cousin that is 15 years old. You would not believe how much she favored Josh. The way her face was shaped, glasses and all. I mentioned it to John waiting for him to tell me he was crazy, but he agreed. We told her grandfather how much they favored and showed him a picture of Josh. Talking about him made us both happy. We left Sunday afternoon and returned home around 10:30 that night. Busy Busy Busy. Back to work on Monday and dragging. Thank you for thinking of Josh on his birthday. I love you all.
