Update
Hello Everyone. I need to start with an update on mama. My brothers and I spent Wednesday night at Wake Med with her and Doug (her man). That night after her bath she noticed a small red spot about the size of a quarter right in the middle of her breast bone. Thursday morning 4:30 arrived. We all go down to be with her before they take her into surgery. Well once the nurse saw the spot (which had spread over night) notified all doctors. To make a long story short the head surgeon made the decision to put off the surgery until the rash is healed. It is located right where the knife would go and he was afraid to proceed. Tomorrow she goes to her medical doctor to find out what it is. For now we are stand by for the heart.
I guess it was a good thing they put it off. Getting ready for the cleanup for Josh was as always exhausting in every way. We had 42 people show up. WOW and WOW how happy I was. Three of his friends that had not been in awhile was able to attend. I was so happy to see them. The weather was perfect. Not 100 like it has been the last couple of weeks. It was a good day to remember my Josh.
My Dear Josh, I am trying my best to keep your memory alive and by three of your friends showing up I must be doing an OK job. We all miss you and love you. I wish I could just grab you and tell you just how much. I can picture your face in my mind and I hope I will be able to the rest of my life. Just know that I will continue the road cleanups for you even if it comes down to me and your daddy doing it by ourselves. Again, We love you sweet Josh.

Rhonda, that is probably a good thing that they are waiting on the surgery until the rash heals up. You don\'t want anything to complicate her recovery. The cleanup project you do in memory of Josh is great and what a wonderful tribute to him that his friends showed up. You know he is thought of often by his friends and they are eager to honor him as well. The weather has cooled off a little bit here too.....low 90\'s, but better than the 100\'s! I hope all goes well with your mom. Thanks for the update and keep us posted. Love, Kim
Rhonda It sounds like Josh\'s clean up is getting bigger and bigger. Wishing your Mom the best Hugs Cathy

I hope mom is doing okay! And I am so glad that Josh\'s cleanup went well...way to go Carolina girl! :) Love and big hugs!
Rhonda,
I hope your mom is doing okay too. What a wonderful way to keep your son\'s memory alive. I read your journal for Aug 9 too and love the sign you were given. Without the signs, how could we keep going?

Love you, Rhonda, and walking always beside you and John. Hugs, Belinda
Rhonda, I\'m a little late in reading journals. I can\'t believe you had 42 people. If I remember right, you didn\'t have even half that much last year did you? Who knows, my memory is sketchy sometimes (really most times) but it sounds like it was a great success. I hope your mom heals and that they can do the surgery and all will be well. Love to you. Robin
love ya!!
Sorry I missed this earlier.
My love and continued prayers for your mom. I\'m hopeful to hear another update soon and am praying all has gone well.
AWESOME that so many showed up to help with the road cleanup and to honor Josh! So glad three of his friends who\'d missed being a part of this wonderful tradition you started were able to be there this time!
Love you my friend...always!
