Well today I am starting out better than yesterday.  Thank you all for your support.  I wanted to share with you 3 things I have been working on.  It amazes me that they are coming to an end on the very of week of Josh's Birthday.  I truly believe it his way of letting me know he is still here and will be forever. (1) You all know that my portrait is finished and being framed.  This project has been going on since February.  Once I get it home I will take a picture of it and post it so you guys can see it.  (2) Yesterday the state replaced the Adopt A Highway sign that was stolen.  I know some of friends had to do it.  But what can I say, I know for a fact if it was one of Josh's buddies that died he would have done the same thing.  Josh was a sign freak.  He was about 5 in his room including our road sign.  I kept telling him he was going to jail.  It meant alot to me and John to see his sign back up.  Especially it being the one on the end of our road that we see everyday.  (3)  A couple of months ago I contacted a woman that takes children art work and makes it into jewelry.  I sent her Josh's famous signature.  I had a charm made so that I can wear it around me at all times.  I also had a christmas ornament made to hang on his tree this year.  Since Josh left us on Christmas Eve, our tree will be a memorial to my boy with all the things he made through the years.  He even asked me when I was putting up the tree right before he died why I was keeping all that stuff.  I told him it was a part of him that I will keep forever.  My jewelry should be coming this week. Those are the three things I have been working on and it means so much to me that they are all coming together right here at his birthday.  Josh, I miss you and love you more than you will ever know.  Your daddy does to.  Since our trip to Charleston he talks more about you and I am glad.  Josh, Randy Barnett died.  He was only 41 and his death has bothered your daddy.  He went to the funeral home last night but I just could not go.  He was in the same room you were and your daddy even had to walk through the chapel where he and I said our last good byes to you.  Then he went and visited with you.  But, you know that because you were there with him in spirit.  He misses you so.  Well, I better get to work.  I love you Joshie Pooh, Mama

I\'m glad John has been able to open up more-that is a good sign. The tree idea sounds beautiful-we put our tree up last year and invited all Chris\' friends to come and decorate it-it was good to see them all-I think your memory tree will be so special and I know Josh will love it-what else can I say sweetie-I know the holidays will be so hard for you and John-Ed and I sit here and remember-and you all know all too well when your only child dies the holidays just kind of fall apart-well they do for everyone on this site, let\'s face it-but when you have no child left it just saps your strength even more-you know Ed and I are here for you guys-however we can help, Love, Sandy

If nothing else had happened last weekend, John seeing how loved you are and how we are all there for each other has let him start to open up. For that, we owe thanks to God.

I know that was hard for John. It says a lot about what kind of man he is. He was there for someone he deeply cares for. That says a lot. Bill has also had to do the same, even for a friend of Meagans who was killed in Iraq. I don\'t know how he was able to do...both Bill and John. I could\'nt go either. Just could\'nt. I can\'t wait to see the picture, and I\'d love info on the jewelry...what a wonderful idea. Something so sweet to keep close to you. Hate to say it...but kinda cool if it was a buddy of Josh\'s that took the Adopt A Highway sign with his name. What can you say..?. Glad another is back up. Hope this one stays for awhile! Who knows.....kinda wierd....you don\'t want anyone taking them...yet, if its his buddies...you know they all want one....so its a complement to Josh! All his buddies want one of His Adopt a Highway signs!! Happy for John to know he is able to talk a little more. I sent you our phone #\'s.......I\'m gonna tell Bill...so please tell John if he EVER wants to call Bill to please feel free to do so. I don\'t know if Bill has gotten onto For Dads Only....maybe he will.....I think he has looked at it. Maybe to two of them will meet up. At least they do have a face with a name ect....! Love the memorial christmas tree idea....We put up 2 big trees and I\'m doing that this year and forever with our big tree upstairs that is seen from our street. Is\'nt it great how Josh is \"tending\" to things....helping to get it all done......? Just thinking of that is putting a smile on my face. Thanks Josh!
