My husband and I lost our only son Josh on Christmas Eve 2006 due to a car accident. I had spoken to Josh for only a few minutes that Sunday morning and left to go wrap one last Christmas present I was hiding for my husband. When I was finished I went to town and Josh called me to let me know the washing machine was unlevel and it sounded like it was walking out of the house. He also was letting me know he was leaving to go get Logan (his love of his life) and going to church. My last words to him was "Be careful." On my way home from town my mother called me and told me Logan had called and Josh had not got there yet. I knew something was wrong then. I kept calling his cell phone no answer. I called my husband and we looking him. About 4 miles from my house I was the first family member to arrive on the scene. I knew it was him. I couldn't really see his truck but I knew. Logan and her mother drove up behind me. John (my husband) came next. The fire & rescue was already there when I got there but they would not tell me anything. I knew in my heart Josh had left us. It was to quite. It was like they were not in any hurry to get him out. Finally after about 1 hour @ the scene, the highway patrol came and told us. I never thought in a millon years I would have to go to the hospital and idenify my Josh. Josh was a mama's boy. We were bestfriends. We fussed alot but he was a typical 16 year teenager. I did not tell him alot that I loved him. I hope and pray that he knew I did. If only I could go back and change things. I have blamed myself several times. Josh didn't want to drive. I keep pushing him. Telling him of the fun he would have without me and his daddy tagging along with him and Logan all the time. All I can remeber is my mother saying "Don't push him something might happen. But, that month he had them was the happiest I had ever seen him. I just don't know how John and I are going to manage without him. I keep telling myself it will get better. I keep telling myself he is in heaven. I keep telling myself he is here with me. But if I could only tell him how much I love him. Please keep us in your prayers. Rhonda & John McIntosh
