Boy, things sure go good when you stay clean. I met a guy a few nights ago at this chicken wing place that Bob took me to. He noticed my painting clothes and we got talking. aparently he is a contractor for a company that does renovations and stuff. He was driving this big Hummer, so I assume he's doing very well. Anyway, he gave me his card, and I gave him my number. So that's a good lead that might get me good work. The second thing that happened is awhile ago Dillon suggested that I put an add on Kijiji about looking for work, so I did. I put one about painting saying that I could do the work, if the person payed me and supplied the material. I never heard anything until a few minutes ago. This guy just called me. He has a growing painting bussiness, and is looking for painters. He asked some questions about my work, and I told him. Asked if I had my own equipment, and I had to tell him I lost mine. I said I didn't drive, but could get around here. Anyway, he seemed really nice and down to earth. We set up a meeting tomorow at ten in the morning to have coffee. I can't beleive it. Two job offers in such a short time. Wow! Never since I've been in Kitchener have I ever come across anything that seemed good or promising. I was starting to think that I might even have to wash dishes at some point, but here it is and I didn't even look for it really. So many times in the past I've gone into the Employment office trying to find something, only to end up totally frustrated and depressed. This really blows my mind. God does work in strange ways. Always seems like when I try to make things work it's just hard, and frustrating, but when I'm clean and doing the right things, good things come.
