Had a really good day today. Yesterday everybody loved the work I did in the basement. It really looks beutiful. I feel very proud. I love when people see what i can do. Even Paul really complimented me, and that's very rare from him. Not that he's bad, just that he mostly only thinks about the job getting done as fast as possible. He calls me a perfectionist, but thats not it. I like to paint things the way I would want to have it. I learned long time ago that it's useless trying to be perfect. I tried doing that for a lot of years, but all it did was frustrate me. I remember in recovery they used to say, "Do everything as if you were doing it for God." That's a good motto to live by, and I try. Today I was doing the kitchen and living room that are connected. Everyone was saying the coulor was too dark, but I was adamant about sticking to what I started. I mixed my own coulor for the paint and I envisioned how it was going to be. I worried about being wrong for the first bit, but stuck to it. i was doubting myself a lot, but I stuck it out. I even went sop far to tell Paul that I would do the whole thing for free, and paint it over if it didn't turn out. (Mostly just to shut him up.) anyway, it worked, and the lady loved it, and so did Paul. Ha, Ha. Feels good to know what I'm doing, even when everything seems against you. Just reenforces my beleif, and what God says to not live by feelings or emotions. All my emotions were against me, but I stuck it out anyway, and I'm happy. She's happy because she got a good place thats done well. Yahoo!. I went to the dentist this morning too, thinking I would just have an exray, but nope. Got two teeth pulled out. Wasn't too bad tho. i was gripping the leather pretty tight on the chair tho. I went early in the morning, and after I went to work. I felt fine tho. They gave me some pain killers, but I'm alright with that. I know it's only temporary, and not something I'm getting into again. I cut all my tye's to those long time ago, so nothing there. Sometimes tho in life we just may need them for real pain, and thats alright. Besides, he only gave me twelve, so I need to use them sparingly. Only enough for today and tomorow. Dan was working with us today. I find it hard being around him. He just has such a mentality of a total addict and he bothers me. I put up with him to a certain point, but don't really get involved with him much. Just no sense. He only has one thing in mind, and thats to get high or stoned. Almost everything he does is because of drugs. Today he brought his laundry to the place we are working at. He seen there was a washer and dryer there yesterday. I would feel so stupid doing that. I feel that's something you should take care of on your own, but Paul said to me if I wanted I could do it too. I don't know. I feel like I should do that with my own time and money. Of course it would help. I have a shit load of laundry, and I've been working so much that I can't get it done. It would cost me about twenty bucks to do it all. I'm tempted to take a little tho. Mayby I will, but not sure. anyway, everything else seems to be going good. Keeping on track of things alright. Forget some things at times, like my appointment yesterday with probation, but that's alright. She knows me, and I'm open about everything with her, so she knows whats going on, and there's nothing to worry about. She knows I forget about things often when I'm busy. I'll call her tomorow anyway. I just seen the most beutifull thing. i was cooking some roast beef, and I put some down for Jimmy and Jet. Jimmy ate but Jet went back to bed. after I checked on Jet, and Jimmy was with her washing her face and head, and she was washing his. Seeing that made my day. That is such a wonderfull thing to see. animals are so beutifull. I feel so proud of Jimmy. He sometimes plays a little rough with Jet, but never hurts her, but he shows he loves her too. That is so damned sweet. God, I wish people were more like that. We all can learn a lot by watching animals, and not interfering. So anyway, a good day. Thank you so much, Lord, thank you.
