Today I feel great. Worked with Bob earlier. Spent the day sanding, and sanding, and sanding. I tell you, if anyone wants to build up endurance, do some sanding. I seem to thrive on the things that most people hate to do. It has nothing to do with enjoying it. it has to do with pushing myself beyond limits that my mind tries to tell me that I have. Or perhaps it's just plain stubourness. Anyway, I like this attitude of mine. It's chalenging. Just tell me that I can't do something, and then stand back and watch. I think I got this attitude from when I was younger. I had an older brother that was slow. I remember how angry I used to get at him because he was forever saying, "I can't" god, how I hated to hear that, and still do. Not being able to do a lot of things also brought feeling of anger towards myself. one of the greatest things I find about recovery is that I can do things. I can do anything I want, except drink, or use. Thats a pretty good trade of, or realization in my books. It's been a little while too I've noticed where I felt bad. What a wonderful gift that is. For over 25 years I felt so bad. Depression, sadness, lonliness, anger and resenments were all I knew. Doesn't take much now for me to be happy. Little Jimmy's purr, or meow, comming home to a real home and enjoying it, drinking pop, eating food that I don't have to steal... The list can go on forever. Gonna make this short tonight. Jimmy needs his ears rubbed and to be cuddled a bit. I love our time just before bed. He does too. He runs to the bed to curl up to me, and his forever purr is such a sweet sound. God, I thank you so much for all you do. Thanks. Amen
