Ahhhhh. The week is over. Now for some relaxation, and some fun. I'm going to treat myself this weekend to going to the Guelph roundup. They have an all day thing with speakers and stuff, and they have a dance after. I haven't been to a dance for awhile now and I'm looking foreward to it. Looking foreward to dressing up nice to. Got my hair cut the other day at the place around the corner. Funny how I never went there. Thought it was just some cheap guy using the front of his house as a bussiness. Yea, I prejudge things too, and I was wrong. The guy was a really nice guy. Cuts hair just the way I like. Fast and simple, talks freindly, but not to much. Really cheap too. All the other places charge around $15.00, but this guy only charged me $7.50. I gave him a two dollar tip. I was very happy with him, my hair is just right. Looks really nice. I like that. He's my barber now. At work I started reevaluating things. Since the new chef came, I started having hopes that real changes were going to come about. He's a good talker, but I'm starting to see that he's really all about himself. i was talking with my supervisor today about it. She thinks the same. I've seen him sluff things of and put the blame on others for things with his talk. Also yesterday he kinda repremanded me about eating food. I was throwing out two sausages that were left over, and I ate one and he started telling me about eating food. I know what food were not supposed to eat, but we were away from people just talking when it happened. He knew I was throwing them away and eating one was not really doing anything. Everybody eats stuff there, even him. It made me wonder where he's really comming from. Today I just wanted to do my job and not push myself like I have been. I was really trying hard thinking that this was what they wanted, but what they want , it seems, is just for things to go smooth. Actually I enjoyed my day better by not stressing myself out doing things that other people should be doing. I'm going to do this more often. I know I have a tendency to think I'm the only one that can do things, and I need to start letting others do, and be responsible for their jobs. I'm always trying to improve and be the best, but like I say, doing that is stressful and I'm going to stop. The sausage thing only told me that their still going to come down on you no matter what. To them everyone is still just a replaceble employee. Besides I was noticing that my extra efforts was getting frustrating and making me angry at times. The truth is that people really don't like or want change, unless it benefits them of course. I understand that. And people that initiate changes usually end up being resented for it, even tho the people will say how good it is in front of you. I understand this side too. Besides, it's not my job to bring about changes. They have the manager, supervisor, chef and sous chef. Thats what they pay them extra for. So from now on I'm going to just be happy doing my job. It's really better that way. I'm already happier just by doing that this one day. Far more relaxing. Yesterday I was sitting at my computer and a knock came at my door. I asked who it was and they said police. I told them to fuck off because I thought it was one of the guys downstairs, but they said they were. I opened the door, and sure enough, two cops were there. They wanted to ask me about the accident I was a witness to the other week. I appologized and told them I thought it was the guys downstairs playing. They just wanted me to write down what happened. It felt really good inviting cops in without any worries about what I might have around. I think this was a first. Nice to be a socalled, "Normal person", and on the right side of the law without anything to worry about. they were just nice guys doing their job. I thank you Lord for all you do. I thank you for the freedom to experience this peace in my life, and the chices I can make now. Thank you so very much.
