Today was a very good day. All went well at work. I've been voicing myself about some stuff and how I want things. My supervisor goes along, but sometimes I wonder if she feels secure about it. I seen a look in her face today that made me wonder a little. I know I'm just trying to do my job the best that I can. I'm not after anyones job at all if she's thinking along those lines. Anyway, it's going good. Actually she has a lot less to do since I've been implementing changes. She says she likes what I'm doing. I guess it's alright. Nothing to worry about anyway. I've been feeling very good lately. I'm keeping my thoughts straight and just dealing with whats what. Whenever I start getting foolish thoughts I've been doing what Alex said. I just think of a big stop sign, and stop it right away. I know that everything is good and alright. God is with me always, and he won't leave me. I'm very happy with knowing that. It's very comforting. Most times when I have let negative thoughts disturb me is when I Get afraid about something not being the way I think it should, or going the way I want it. Lately I had the opportunity to talk a little with the chef at work. He had a girlfreind and he was telling me that he was having a little rough time because they had broken up. They apparently made plans to get married and set a date. He said everything was going well. No problems. But then she told him that she was feeling like she always wanted to be with him, but when she was with him she didn't. She told him she never wanted to see him again. Go figure. Perfect example of someone living by feelings. During the conversation tho, I realized that it was a good thing. I know he was upset about it, but I told him that how would he have felt if they did get married and a few years down the road she told him. I think that would be much worse. I remember that things like this would have devestated me. I would have been fucked up good for a long time, but now I know that I could have the choice to still love the person, and let them go. Of course that kind of thing is never easy, but I could see the true good of the situation. At least now he can have the chance of having a more successful and lasting relationship. I'm so thankful that I have had the many teachings of A.A. and other programes, treatment centers, and life itself. Most of all I'm thankful to know God, and have him in my life. I still strugle with things, but I can see a lot of growth in myself. Thats a good thing. I thank you Lord for everything. Who I am, what your teaching me. With each day I pray that I may take your hand willingly. Please teach me. Thank you.
