I'm sitting in my office here at the center and feeling so peacful. I've got another addict here thats strugled for years. She's safely sleeping in the corner. I feel so good that I can give her a little bit of peace for a few hours. Don't know what will happen after. I suppose she'll go back out as usual.I've known her about a year now. See her working the streets when she's able to keep her eye's open. Sometimes I find her asleep on some corner, still standing. She's so thin right now. Only about a hundred pounds. She was a really beutiful lady at one time. Had a bussiness of her own, grooming dogs. Somewhere along the line she got hurt real bad. I don't know if she'll ever get it together. Her track marks cover most of her body. She's on Methadone right now, but still uses. Most of the people around here that are on Methadone still use. I'm so glad that I never went threw with getting on that. I went through all the stuff and only needed one more time to see the Dr, and then I would have been on it. I only wanted on it at the time because I was thinking that it would be a free high, but something inside me told me not to get on it. I remember seeing this guy in jail that used to get it. Everytime after he took it, he'd be sitting with his eyes rolled back and his head would bob till you thought he would fall on his face, but he never did. Everyone would laugh about it, but it was really pathetic. To see a human life brought to that kind of thing is really sad. Just give me a fix a let me node my life away. So sad. My freind here looks like a tiny little girl in the corner. I would give the world to make he well, but I know this is all I can do. I will pray that God bless her and protect her.... Dillon just kinda laughs when he sees me with these people. He doesn't have the time or patience for this. He knows to that she will be back out tonight. Maybe so, but for the time being, she's got a full tummie of soup and she's resting peacefully. Thank you Lord for giving me this oportunity to reflect the love that you so freely gave to me. Thank you.
