I've been taking a little rest from my journal and spending the weekend with just me. Last week I had alot of negative shit going on in my head with people at the center here. I was letting the small stuff get to me. It's been really nice without them around all weekend. I cleaned the place, and for once it's stayed clean. The other day I was approached by a couple of guys that were Mormons. I see them quit abit out here. They started trying to talk to me about there religion. I was taught about the Mormon faith when I was in London, and I don't agree with it. Simply because of the fact that their so called prophet, Joseph Smith, was a poligamist. He had about thirty wives. I listened to what they had to say, and I stated my beleifs about God, Jesus, and the bible. They still tried convincing me that Joseph Smith was a prophet. Later on I thought about what they said, and I tried being open minded about it. When I got to the center I looked up Joseph Smith on the internet, and there was all the stuff that I knew. I just wanted to be correct in my information. The beginings of Morminism is interesting, but I don't see how anyone could be fooled by it. Joseph Smith, at least in my oppinion, was just a man, not a prophet, who translated the bible to what he beleived, or what he wanted to beleive. To me, anyone that has more than one wife, is not really capable of love. It's hard enough giving your heart to one person, let alone thirty. people seem to follow anything these days. I really wonder if these guys ever did any research. Lots of times, as people, we just beleive anything we hear. I did that while grwing up. I took everything that was taught by an elder as the truth. i find that the more I search in my understandings of God, the more I find that people were wrong in many ways. The human mind is really a fantastic thing. We can come up with amazing thoughts and ideas, but in t6he end, really know nothing. I find that it is through God that I have aquired any real conception of what reality really is.
