Today is going great so far. Were doing some renovations at the Sobriety Center. Trying to get it looking better. I want it nice for when G comes. I bought a radio today for the place. It's nice. Didn't cost too much. I just felt that I wanted to spend some money. before I would blow it before I even got it. Now I don't know what to do with it. I only spend about twenty bucks a week. I want to save anyway for an apartment down the road. I seen this girl today on my way here. I could tell she was all strung out on crack. She was doing the monkey the monkey thing. It was snowing, I seen she didn't have socks on or warm clothing. I stopped and said hello to her. I told her that I worked at the Center, and she was welcome to come for coffee. She said she was alright and just waiting for her father to pick her up, but I knew she was trying to find a trick. She looked so sick, sunk in eyes and so thin. During the week I seen some other young girls on my way to work. 5am, and they were looking for tricks in the cold. They looked so young. Only about 18. I hate that old life and what it does to people. The guys were quiet at my place when I got home last night. I guess they were partied out. That was good. I like when things are quiet there. This morning I seen this guy that I didn't know go into the washroom, guess he stayed over. I heard him saying that he works and does well, but when he comes to Kitchener he fucks up on the crack. I suppose the other guy let him stay because he probably was buying or just had money. Really doesn't interest me at all.I thank my God each and every day that I was given this chance to live again. A completly new life that can only get better. When your at the bottom and the only alternative is to die, each and everything is a blessing. Sometimes I stop and just feel the air on my face, and going into my lungs. Life is really good, and I treasure my sobriety. Thank you so much, Lord. Thank you.

I sobered up in a town of 700 people in a house dripping with booze and a grow in the basement. I was a meeting of 1. Me and the big book. I am living proof that if you want to change you can no matter what\'s around you. I actually stayed sober a couple of times because I had a ring side seat to the insanity and for a change I wasn\'t the cause of the chaos! I sure am grateful to have the option to go to as many meetings as I want. M
