Today went well. We were short about four people at work, and I felt it. My supervisor was one of the ones sick, so I had to cover some of her work. it started stressing me out abit. I almost blew up at the sous chef. They come by when I'm busy with customers and just leave carts with food on them for me to put away. I just left them sitting there, customers come first. The sous chef came by and I told him I had no time. He said I should make time. That really got me pissed. I didn't show that I was mad, but the more I thought about it, it was time to put my foot down. I went to the kitchen and told him calmly about it. He was calm to. Maybe he was just testing me out to see how far he could get. Anyway, he had to work with me at lunch. At first he was trying to be all profesional and point stuff out to me, but when lunch time hit he crumbled. Started fucking up the orders. I had to cover his ass, and pick up things. These young guys kill me sometimes. Can't beat me in my work, far too many years experience. Anyway, he started being real nice after, kinda sucking up. I really think this job is going to be good for me, but I need to not get stressed out with things. Even today when things were getting hectic, I just slowed down abit and did my best and it went well. It's really a snow storm outside. Some of the guys went with Sheldon cavasing. I feel sorry for them. I would hate to be out in this weather. When I get here at the Sobriety Center, I start work again. Clean, sweep, dust, mop the floor. Sometimes I feel pissed of, because I see the other guys just playing on the computer, and here I am cleaning while they play. I don't get paid for this work, but I am grateful to get to use the computer after. I try to think of this treatment Center that I was at years ago. We always had to clean and take care of stuff. It was part of gratitude. You were supposed to do everything like you would for God, even when you didn't feel like it. I always try to do that. I don't think of whats in it for me, I just do what needs to be done.
