Well, today went well at work. Seem to have corected the sleeping in problem. I set my clock right after, and set the other one as soon as I get in. I started getting a little stressed out today at work. Everything was just go, go , go. My supervisor kept telling me these little things. It's like she just has to say something all the time. I'm polite and take it, and try to do all she says, but inside my head is a differant story. My mind is saying, " Why don't you go fuck yourself." I know that my mind is wrong, so I try to ignore whats going on in my head, and just do whats right. Thank God I'm not drinking. I think back all the time to when I was drinking and working in kitchens. I was a nut. I would always act on what was going on in my head. Back then I thought I had every right to tell the person to go fuck themselves. They probably didn't even know what was going on, but I thought I did. I'm finding that things are not always what they seem. I need to use that slogan, "Think, think, think." If I act on my first assumptions, it's usually not the right way. I need to think, " O.K. Whats really going on here? " My mind will be telling me one thing, but I need to look at all the evidence. Is there really any basis to what I'm thinking? I also need to ask myself, "Is it really that important? and also, "Is it really going to kill me to co-operate, swallow my pride and just do what needs to be done." Yes, it can seem hard because the emotions of pride can be so strong. I find that emotion is usually at the base of everything that rattles me. Pride is really a sonofabitch. You can get into so much trouble because of that. "It's the point of the matter." I was always making a point when I got mad. Usually the point was, this is my world, and you'll do things my way. I guess it was directing the play, as they say. I thank you, Lord for giving me these oportunities at work to grow. I pray that I will always choose your ways no matter what my emotions or thoughts tell me. Thank you so much for giving me a sober mind to think with.
