Good Day today!!  I may feel like billy hell but it was a good one.Hey we need more that one  set of smileys - cause some days I feel poopy physically but great mentally and emotionally - or vice verse. ANYway, I made friend's  husband Darius's Sudanese Red Lentil Stew  -  for 30!  It's- spicy and yummy - (I made a blander one for the kids and wimps) made hummus and fattoush salad and red rice and hapa rice.  Soooo Yummy.  good stuff!I decided to cook this stuff cause there is NO MIDDLE EASTERN FOOD on Oahu - ok I fibbed - I just found out about a new Egyptian restaurant - which I will be trying!)Since I'm preaching tomorrow using the story of Esau selling his birthright to Jacob for a mess of pottage. (that translates leterally as "red stuff" or red lentils!        I thought it would be fun to have some red lentils and other middle eastern food after church during our Aloha Fellowship - (ok -I know Sudan is in Africa not the Middle East - but the spices are identical to Lebanese lentil soups I've had ).Wow!  I remember now - how much I used to love cooking -I used to cookl for [friends all the time.   I even thought about culinary school once upon a time BFMS/CFS -  before that is.  But hells flamin' bells people I am frickin exhausted,  and already I'm in serious stinkin pain.  I dread how i'll feel tomorrow when the alarm goes off at 5:30.   grrrrrrr.I have a busy day, too.  I've got some office work beofore church gotta print my sermon  and prepare for the service, officiate and preach, then set up lunch - cuz no one else knows what needs doing and I don't delegate well.  I'll have help. But OMG I haven't written my monthly pastor's report for the church Board meeting which is directly after lunch.  Pray for me!!  I'm gonna need it.  No SERIOUSLY!  the meeting will go til 3:30 or 4 - I'll be falling asleep by then!oh well - It was a lovely day all in all - got to listen to Click and Clack, Wait! Wait! Don't Tell Me and This American Life while shopping and running errands.  The weather was beautifully cool and it even rained a bit - and I had enough of everything growing in my garden (parsley, mint, sage, tyme, marjoram, Hawaiian chili peppas, Thai peppers, basil and green onions) and I found perfect juicy lemons and japanese cucumbers at Costco,  and  when I got home they were playing middle eastern and african music on our public radio all afternoon.  Whoo hoo!All in all a pretty awesome quiet day.  Worth the pain I'll have, I think.   Hey I found a job opening working as an optometric assistant - they say the'll train.  I could use hand sanitizer a lot.  The other job listed today was in the nect town over, providing 16 hours respite care  for a high functioning 29 year old woman - taking her out and driving her places, doing fun stuff and errands, and generally giving her caregivers time off I gather - pays 10.75 - which here is phenomenal pay for a part time job.I'm gonna call about those tomorrow before I turn in the mail center application. oh suuuuure i am - ok well monday a.m. then.well the vicodin is kickin in and I hope to be in bed soon.nighty night then, don't let those bed bugs bite.
