I was so excited when I found out I was pregnant at the beginning of November. I never imagined that two months later, I would be heart broken without a baby. Ironically, I teach child development and when I teach prenatal development, I teach the statistics on miscarriage. Yet, when I walked into my OBGYN on my birthday for the first u/s, it never ocurred to me that there would be a problem with my baby. I had taken such good care of myself -- ate well, gave up my one addiction (coffee), and was exercising. My husband was so excited as well. When I heard the news -- that the baby had stopped developing at six weeks (and I was supposed to be nine weeks a long), I was devestated. I never imagined how devestated I would feel. I never imagined the depression that would follow. Every day is hard for me right now. I can't stop thinking about the baby I will never have. I pray that it gets easier and that I feel better soon. . .
