3rd Scrutiny
Last Sunday was the 3rd Scrutiny for the Elect. My husband and children attended the Mass as well, since we didn't make it to our regular Mass.
We were all called up front again. My daughter was very clingy and didn't want to leave my side, so she went up with me. The first time I had ever stood in front of the congregation while holding one of my children.
Things may not have gone as I had hoped when I initially joined RCIA. For awhile, I was considering quitting or putting it on hold until next year, but I am so glad that I continued with it. I have been so angry the last few months and felt like I just couldn't go on any longer. The Easter Vigil is now only a week away. Thankfully, the RCIA sessions will continue on until Pentecost, but that's right around the corner, too. It will be nice being home with the family again every night, but I can't help but feeling a little sad that it will soon be over.
